Rennsport Reunion IV

Mike Allen's 914/4 was accepted and participated in the latest of the Rennsport Reunions held at Laguna Seca in Monterey. Not a personal Rennprojekt car, but one that I've personally bled, sweat and cussed over. Congratulations Mike!

See the Projects page for more information.

6 hours of pain

Between a falling ladder and various other incidents, the roof of the 911 has been restored to its once baby smooth shape.

Not to worry, the filler you see is merely a skim coat.

911 Progress

Body work continues on the 911. The body looked like someone did a drunken tap dance all over it, and will take time to sort out.

Hopefully, it will be in primer soon.

Downtime

If you notice, there hasn't been much activity lately on this site. Seems that it's time for some updates!

The Projects page has been updated, and soon the home page will have some updates on the current 911 project.

911 S progress

The process begins for the fitting of the body panels. The fiberglass pieces fit well, but will need a bit more massaging to be just right. For the curious, the hinges are spaced at 19.5" on center.

Racing update

The Vintage Auto Racing Association (VARA) held their "High Desert Challenge" at Willow Springs this past weekend. The highlight of the event is the two hour endurance race open to production and sports racing cars.

Good friend Mike Allen invited me to co-drive his 914-4 in the event. A great time was had by all with us finishing first in class and 9th overall!
