Racing update

The Vintage Auto Racing Association (VARA) held their "High Desert Challenge" at Willow Springs this past weekend. The highlight of the event is the two hour endurance race open to production and sports racing cars.

Good friend Mike Allen invited me to co-drive his 914-4 in the event. A great time was had by all with us finishing first in class and 9th overall!

911S Lightweight progress

Progress continues on the 911. The rollcage is starting to take shape. The finished product will be a your standard 6 point variety with door bars, etc.

Another project underway is the production of 911R type quarter windows. Seems supplies are very scarce these days, so we thought we would take a shot at fabricating our own. Pictured are the molds that will be used to vacuum form the lexan. The molds were created by digitizing a sample window, then cut with a 5-axis CNC router. It really is sort of an experiment at this point, but if successful, they will be made available on this site! Fingers crossed.
